2/13/10

We took a ride to our favorite italian joint… I don’t know the name of it… in Woodland Hills. (Did I make that up, Woodland Hills?) and the place was PACKED. So the dumb little girl asked if we had reservations. We quickly glanced at her screen and after throwing out a bunch of names we finally convinced her I was Manuel Marmalejo and we took his reservation for two at 8:30 and got the best seat in the house. (Schwartzy and I don’t wait in lines)

Awesome. After a great dinner and some size appropriate coffee beverages for us, we took off to Hollywood then eventually West Hollywood (such a happy place) and found ourselves at a place we had never seen before, the Pali House, a little hotel type place with a club on the bottom floor. See, we were invited to a party for Michele and Ori’s birthday but when we showed up we noticed a LONG LINE outside.  Well, we don’t wait in lines. So as every place has its weaknesses, we found theirs and snuck in. It took us a roundabout way so we wandered around a bit and found a another small little party where we befriended Zoe Bell…

ZoeBell

…who Schwartzy says is famous. I’m not sure. I’ve never heard of her. But she was nice. And enjoyed the jazz hands very much. So then we made our way into the club itself and chilled. It was a damn good venue

but Schwartzy still wasn’t always in the moment…

Yet he bounced back quickly.

And we joined our good friends and celebrated Michele and Ori’s birthday and had some chick take our picture… And we look awesome!

You want me to try and drink A GALLON OF WATER A DAY!!!???

NightPart1

We started out at the Cheesecake Factory. It began as a pleasant enough night. But by the end of it I was a chauffeur being berated for not drinking enough water throughout the day. I bought two gallons and tried to drink a gallon a day for two days. I came close… but not close enough.

Two Guys and a Russian Bad Guy

Russian

December 13th 2009

We had already met the Nazi from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade so it shouldn’t have been as much of a thrill to me as it was when we happened upon the Russian bad guy from the last (I hope) Indiana Jones movie. As anyone can tell you that knows me, I am an obsessed Indiana Jones fan. At least I was. That last movie killed something inside.

You see, I hated that Crystal Skull garbage. HATED IT!! In fact, I have even committed what some have called ‘career suicide’ by bashing the film openly the night it premiered on this website… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-sK9qmQVdw (This is well worth reading the comments. Everyone hates me… hahaha… “the fat guy is annoying”) but low and behold the one thing I said I always liked about the film was the casting of the Russian dude. And here we are. We went in to the Aroma cafe in Hollywood late last night to get some desert:

and there he was with his woman (for lack of knowledge of it being his wife or girlfriend I will call her that). My RAS (see TGAAH post on June 29 2009) blew up. I recognized him immediately.

Now, the worst part was, i had no camera. It is pretty rare for either me or Schwartzy to be without a cam but there we were. I did some sketches but it wasn’t good enough. We need a cam. So, we happened to find this Asian girl who didn’t speak ANY English but had a cam. See, earlier, she was taking pictures of the deserts and Schwartzy jumped in. She didn’t seem repulsed or anything so we asked her if we could borrow her cam and have her email it. Damn. I ended up buying her entire little party dinner…

AND because the Russian guy did the ‘hypnotherapist’ pose I also bought him and his girl dinner. (He started to get annoyed at us posing him and he urged us to  ’hurry this up’)

All in all it cost over $100 bucks. Just to bring our adventures to you.

I am compelled to paint.

He’s an interesting fellow this hypnotherapist. Pensive. Yes. Sad? I don’t know. What’s he thinking? Where is his mind? Is he astro-projecting or time traveling right in front of me. If so, I hope he’s not falling in love with someone. Nahh… He’s too smart for that.

One of the original jazz-hand pioneers, Soupy Sales, passed away last week. Thanks for the memories, Soupy. TGAAH gives you a two-jazz-hand salute!

Two Guys and a Monkee!

img_0458We’re minding our own business, heading to the Casa Vega men’s room to take care of some personal business (it’s a Mexican restaurant – whattya gonna do), when none other than Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees cuts in front of us! So Andy and Schwartzy stopped him for a pic (we’re gentlemen – we waited til he finished in the bathroom). We asked him to do the hypnotherapose, but he refused, saying “This isn’t show and tell.” Good for you, Mickey Dolenz. Good for you.

img_0457Since Hunter’s been AWOL, we’ve been auditioning new hypnotherapists. Michael Byrne (Nazi villain “Vogel” from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) has potential – he’s got the pose down!

We’re back, baby!

The Schwartzy/Cindi peace talks took place at Camp David (also known as Morton’s Steakhouse) over the weekend and we at TGAAH are proud to announce… the feud is over! TGAAH is back!! And we’re gonna be bigger and better than ever!

TGAAH in the Witness Protection Agency… well, kinda… at the very least, in hiding

It’s a long story. A funny long story if you have heard it all. For several reasons we needed to change TGAAH from “Two Guys and a Hypnotherapist” to “Tanya Guy… Always a Hipster”. But get ready… there’s a return looming…
